ABOUT US

We are a Presbyterian Church USA congregation that subscribes to the great themes of the Reformed tradition; grace alone, faith alone, Scripture alone.  We believe we are elected for service under the authority of Scripture and called to be faithful stewards of all God’s gifts.  We acknowledge and confess Jesus Christ is Lord.   We aspire to be His hands and feet and voices in the world.

Missions

Spreading God's love, bringing aid to the world, helping the unfortunate, support our projects.

Our Sponsored Missionary

Based in Port au Prince, Haiti, as a Joining Hands network companionship facilitator, Cindy Corell connects presbyteries and churches in the United States with a network of churches, grassroots groups, and nongovernmental organizations in Haiti. Around the world Joining Hands networks strive to alleviate poverty and suffering through community education, advocacy, alternative economic activities, lifestyle changes, and spiritual grounding. The goal is to restore the wholeness of God‘s creation and the healing of the human family through prayer, mutual visits, humble accompaniment, repentance, and mutual transformation. Presbyterian World Mission assigns mission personnel to help facilitate this effort, which is a ministry of the Presbyterian Hunger Program.

Operation Christmas Child

Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse, an international Christian relief and evangelism organization headed by Franklin Graham. The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world, and together with the local church worldwide, to share the Good News of Jesus Christ. Since 1993, Operation Christmas Child has collected and delivered more than 146 million gift-filled shoeboxes to children in more than 150 countries and territories. For many of these children, the gift-filled shoebox is the first gift they have ever received.

Presbyterian Hunger Program

Presbyterian Hunger Program’s mission is clear: alleviate hunger and eliminate its causes. There is no one size fits all solution. PHP complements the work of Presbyterian congregations through strategic partnership collaborations, print and web educational and worship materials, and participatory programs so that Presbyterians Go, Join, and Act to end hunger for our neighbors next door and across the planet.

We approach hunger holistically with 5 tools:

  • Direct Food Relief combined with Root Cause Work

  • Sustainable Development

  • Advocacy

  • Intentional and Sustainable Living

  • Education

Employing these tools along with congregations, partners and local communities, together we can end hunger.
